Australia captain Pat Cummins has won the toss and elected to field in their Cricket World Cup encounter against South Africa in Lucknow on Thursday.

Australia has made two changes, which is the big news out of the middles. After almost three weeks, Marcus Stoinis rejoins the team.

In the lineup, he takes the place of Cameron Green, and wicketkeeper Josh Inglis was also selected in place of Alex Carey.

Gerald Coetzee is replaced by Tabraiz Shamsi for South Africa.

Temba Bavuma, the captain of the Proteas, thinks that Shamsi’s inclusion was influenced by both the circumstances and the opposition.

Both teams have had divergent World Cup campaigns so far.

South Africa dominated on a level playing field in Delhi to defeat Sri Lanka while Australia struggled on a challenging surface in Chennai and lost to India.

Here is how the teams will line up:

Australia: David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis (wk), Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins (c), Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood

South Africa: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Marco Jansen, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, Tabraiz Shamsi
