Themba Zwane helped Bafana Bafana earned a 1-1 draw against Ivory Coast in an international friendly match played at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny on Tuesday evening.

Ivory Coast began the match strongly, but in the eighth minute, they lost possession of the ball in their own half, and Teboho Mokoena set up Themba Zwane for an elegant goal.

In the 30th minute, the Elephants had a tremendous opportunity to equalise when Sebastien Haller received the ball after a poor clearance by Mothobi Mvala. Despite defeating Ronwen Williams, the ball struck the upright before being cleared.

Bafana was able to create some decent opportunities after halftime, but poor finishing prevented them from scoring more goals.

The missed opportunities came back to haunt the team; in the 65th minute, Haller made amends for his initial miss by heading in a cross from Wilfried Singo.

Despite late pressure from the hosts, Bafana maintained their unbeaten streak in all competitions to 11 matches.
