According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat was involved in a minor car accident on Sunday evening, but was unharmed.
The incident supposedly took place 24 hours after Billiat produced a man-of-the-match performance in a 4-2 win over Chippa United to send Amakhosi through to the Nedbank Cup final.
The 28-year-old provided two assists and scored an impressive long-range screamer in the latter stages of the semi-final against the Chilli Boys on Saturday, but according to Zimbabwean outlet soccer24.co.zw, Billiat’s weekend took a bad turn on Sunday when his car veered off the road.
The Zimbabwean website, which also posted the photo above, said, ‘Warriors and Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat escaped unhurt after the car he was travelling in veered off the road and went into the sideways gullies.
‘The incident happened last evening. No official statement has been issued by the player or his club, but picture evidence shows minor damages to the car.’
Both the club and the player have not commented on the reported incident, but Billiat has since posted on social media suggesting he is unharmed.
