Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos says he is proud of his side’s performance against South Sudan and insists they wanted to “score as much as possible.”
South Africa crusied to a comfortable 3-0 victory over South Sudan in a packed DHL Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Bafana secured the win through goals from Iqraam Rayners Patrick Maswanganyi and Teboho Mokoena in Cape Town.
The win saw Bafana secure top spot in the AFCON Group K standings with 14 points after six matches, having won four and drawn two.
“The most important thing is that we have qualified but we wanted to show some things and I think we succeeded, we played a wonderful game, many chances to score, 3-0, good game, technically very high, I’m very happy,” Broos told SABC Sport.
“That’s what I like about this game, the boys wanted to score as much as possible. They wanted to give this crowd a wonderful night and I think we succeeded.”
