Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has announced his preliminary squad for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
The Belgian coach announced a preliminary squad of 50 players, which will be reduced to 23 players in the new year, shortly before departure to the West African country. The biennial continental tournament will be held in Côte d’Ivoire from January 13 to February 11, 2024.
Broos’ charges will report for duty on January 4, 2024, and will then travel to Stellenbosch for a training camp that will last until January 9, 2024.
Bafana Bafana will then play a closed-door training match against Lesotho at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville before departing for Côte d’Ivoire on January 11, 2024.
