Kaizer Chiefs have denied reports of improper dealings with Chicken Inn relating to the transfer of Teenage Hadebe to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor in 2019.
The Glamour Boys completed the signing of Hadebe from Zimbabwe’s Chicken Inn during the 2017 transfer window before he made a switch to Turkey’s Malatyaspor in 2019.
Amakhosi were reportedly facing another Fifa ban after claims suggesting that they failed to pay Zimbabwean side Chicken Inn over a $21,000 sell-on fee plus interest following Hadebe’s transfer from the Soweto giants to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.
Chicken Inn have now claimed that there was a clause in his contract, which stipulates that they would receive a sum of money if Hadebe was to be sold.
As a result, Worldfootballing Body Fifa has since ordered Amakhosi to pay Chicken Inn over R350 000, according to Zimbabwe publication Sunday News
However, Chiefs have since released the following statement denying any wrongdoings in their part of the transfer.
“Kaizer Chiefs dismiss media reports. Kaizer Chiefs note the reports that are making rounds relating to the transfer of Teenage Hadebe,” Amakhosi said in a statement on their official website.
“Some news reports say: “Initially, indications are that Hadebe joined the Turkey club as a free agent. However, it was unearthed that the Arthur Zwane coached-side indeed sold him, albeit for an undisclosed fee.”
“The Club would like to categorically dismiss the reports as flawed and misleading. Kaizer Chiefs have fulfilled all the obligations in the transfer of Hadebe.”
