Khama Billiat and Siphiwe Tshabalala are likely to face Mamelodi Sundowns in their 2018-19 PSL opening clash despite injury scares, according to Chiefs’ communication manager Vina Maphosa.
The Soweto giants confirmed that Tshabalala and Billiat picked up respective knocks in their final pre-season match against Cape Town City in Mbombela on Saturday afternoon, where they succumbed to a 1-0 loss a courtesy of a second-half strike by Craig Martin.

Maphosa suggested that the star-duo would be fit to face Pitso Mosimane’s side, in addition to revealing that the club would offer updates ahead of the game against Masandawana.

‘They are not serious [injuries], but we will update you about everything when we announce our season plans next week, including injury updates,’ he told Phakaathi.
