Kaizer Chiefs has confirmed that attacking midfielder Siphelele Ntshangase has joined the club from fellow Absa Premiership side Baroka.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal with the option to extend his stay for a further one year.

Amakhosi’s football manager Bobby Motaung will be hoping the Soweto giants will compete for silverware during the second half of the of the season after bolstering their squad during the transfer market.

‘We have been working tirelessly for the past few weeks to negotiate and finalise these new deals,’ Motaung told his club’s official website.

‘All the signings were done in consultation with coach Steve Komphela and his technical team. Our plan is to have a strong team that will compete fiercely in the second half of the season and beyond.’

Ntshangase has become Chiefs’ third signing during the current transfer window, having already signed Leonardo Castro and Kabelo Mahlasela.

‘We welcome the player to Naturena. We are positive that the three acquisitions we’ve made thus far will make our supporters happy,’ he concluded.

Meanwhile, Ntshangase says he is looking forward to fulfilling his dream of playing for the Soweto giants.

‘I am delighted to be here,’ says Ntshangase. ‘It has always been my dream to don the Gold & Black jersey and I’m excited that the dream has come to fruition.’
