Kaizer Chiefs were left frustrated after they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Swallows FC in their DStv Premiership encounter at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Gregory Damons opened the scoring for Swallows as early as the seventh minute before Christian Basomboli equalised in the 23rd minute but the game was put to bed when Bongani Sam bagged the winning goal for the Dube Birds in the 33rd minute.
The win for Swallows sees them climb up to eighth place on the league standings with 34 points from 27 games as they prepare for their upcoming clash against Royal AM on May 13.
Amakhosi, meanwhile, remain in fourth place on the league standings with 44 points after 28 games as they prepare for a mouth-watering fixture against Orlando Pirates in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup this Saturday.
