Mamelodi Sundowns scored a stoppage to goal to earn a 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-final played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The Soweto giants came into this fixture having clinched a 2-1 victory over Cape Town City in the quarter-finals at Athlone Stadium on Sunday, 13 August.
The Brazilians earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Moroka Swallows in their respective quarter-finals encounter at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, 12 August.
Amakhosi looked on course to snatch the victory from Sundowns when Edson Castillo broke the deadlock in the 61st minute with his diving header.

But Khuliso Mudau came to his sides rescue deep into stoppage time when he latched on to a cross by Junior Mendieta before header the ball past Chiefs keeper Brandon Petersen to earn his side a draw.
