Cape Town City FC have continued to bolster their squad by signing former Leicester City midfielder Khanya Leshabela.
The 24-year-old is the Citizens’ first signing after the January transfer window.
Leshabela joins City after having trained with the club for the past few weeks.
The Soshanguve-born midfielder brings previous experience playing for the likes of Leicester City, Shrewsbury Town, and Crewe Alexandra in England.
The Citizens have since confirmed the signing of the South African midfielder on social media, which reads.
“The club is delighted to confirm the signing of Khanya Leshabela,” City announced on social media.
“The 24-year-old South African midfielder joins the Citizens as Coach Eric looks to bolster his squad for the season ahead!”

Leshabela could potentially make his debut when City take on SuperSport United in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 on Tuesday.
