Kaizer Chiefs defender Rushwin Dortley has dismissed the notion that former coach Arthur Zwane has inside knowledge of the club ahead of their clash against Golden Arrows.

The Glamour Boys will look to bounce back after suffering a 1-0 defeat to arch-rivals Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Chiefs come into this fixture sitting in fifth place on the log with 21 points after 15 games, while AmaZulu are placed ninth on the table with 19 points from 15 matches.

Amakhosi will now switch their focus to their upcoming Betway Premiership encounter against AmaZulu at the same venue on Tuesday evening.

Dortley believes the Usuthu co-coach will not have an advantage over the Soweto giants when the two sides face off for maximum points in their next fixture.

“We have done thorough preparation for this game and we have a strategy,” Dortley told his club’s official website.

“Things have changed here since Arthur Zwane left and new coaches have come in, so I don’t think he has any inside track on how things work with the team now.

“Our focus is to win every game and claim maximum points in order to move up the table.

“While it is still mathematically possible, our goal is to win the league but, if not, at least finish in the top three, and qualify for CAF competition next season.

“We really want to represent the Club on the continent again.

“Our conditioning coach is amazing. He knows what he is doing. We have all followed his recovery protocols and we are ready to give our maximum tomorrow,” he concluded.
