Orlando Pirates have revealed that striker Kermit Erasmus could make his return when he comes up against former club Cape Town City on Tuesday evening.
The Buccaneers are set to welcome the Citizens to the Orlando Stadium when the two sides meet in the DStv Premiership this evening.
The 33-year-old striker is yet to feature for the Buccaneers after missing the start of the season due to injury.
Erasmus has since resumed full training with the squad and will be relishing the chance to feature against his former club.
Pirates will be looking to continue their current momentum after progressing to the next round of the Caf Champions League following their 4-0 aggregate win over Comoros champions Djabal Club.
“The Buccaneers have made a few strides on the injury front in recent weeks, with several key players now back at training after nursing minor injuries early in the season,” Pirates said in a statement.
“Players approaching full fitness include striker Kermit Erasmus, who missed the early part of the campaign through injury and could soon feature in the match day squad after resuming full training.”
