Maritzburg United have confirmed the appointment of Muhsin Ertugral as the club’s new head coach.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates coach came in to replace Fadlu Davids, who parted ways with the club this week.
The club has since confirmed that Ertugral has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with the Team of Choice, a month after parting ways with National First Division outfit Ajax Cape Town.
The Team of Choice currently occupy last place in the Absa Premiership standings, with 11 points from 15 matches so far this season.
Speaking on the club’s Twitter, Maritzburg chairman, Farook Kadodia, said: ‘His project will be to get us out of the relegation and then of course continue to build. His expertise is in promoting youth, so beyond saving relegation we are confident that we will see a lot of younger players promoted.’
