Former Kaizer Chiefs coach Gavin Hunt will join Premier League outfit Manchester City for two weeks when the Africa Cup of Nations concludes in February.
The 57-year-old is without a job after he parted ways with Chippa United last month, with the two parties reaching a compromise following Hunt’s suspension last month.
The former SuperSport United mentor has since been working as an analyst on SuperSport for the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament held in Cameroon.
However, Hunt revealed he will spend two weeks at the reigning Premier League champions after receiving an invitation from a friend to analyse their operations within the Man City camp.
“I will attend their training sessions and matches and hopefully learn as much as I can when I get there,” Hunt told the Daily Sun.
“I will check out the environment and see if there are opportunities. I got an invitation from a friend, who works at the club.
“For now, I am enjoying my role as an analyst at SuperSport, but I am available to take on new job offers.”
He continued: “In SA, it’s about who you know and not about your coaching experience and qualifications.
“I am ready for my next coaching challenge. I had good jobs and believe they will come again.
“I am still looking, and nothing is available at the moment. I am willing to take any job that comes my way.”
