The South African Football Association has confirmed that entry will be free for all supporters who attend the international friendly between Bafana Bafana and Madagascar at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

The South African national team were set to take on Zambia in Lusaka on Saturday, but the Zambians pulled out of the clash following the recent spates of xenophobic violence in South Africa.

Safa had to quickly find a replacement and it has since been confirmed that they will tackle the island nation at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, with kick-off at 7pm.

Due to the last-minute nature of the match, Safa announced on Thursday that entry to the encounter will be free of charge.

‘Because of the late preparations for the game that replaced the Zambia match which was scheduled for Lusaka on Saturday, Safa has seen it prudent to allow fans to watch the Bafana Bafana vs Madagascar game for free,’ reads a statement on the official website.

‘Safa GM: Football Business Mzwandile Maforvane said fans can collect their entry tickets at Safa Johannesburg offices, at Nike Centre in Pimville and UJ Soweto Campus from later today, tomorrow and during the day on Saturday.

‘Maforvane said he was also busy arranging with all of Gauteng’s five regions to see how they can also help in distributing the tickets to the game. Updates on further details will continue to be posted on Bafana Bafana’s Twitter account and other Safa social media platforms.’
