TS Galaxy ended Mamelodi Sundowns’ 10-match winning run following their 1-0 victory in the Betway Premiership at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

A 44th-minute goal from midfielder Kamogelo Sebelebele handed the Brazilians their first defeat since the loss to Polokwane City on 27 October 2024.

The win sees Galaxy remain in fourth place on the table with 25 points from 17 games, while Sundowns remain at the top of the log with 42 points from 16 matches.

The Rockets will now turn their attention to the Nedbank Cup when they take Durban City at the Chatsworth Stadium on Friday evening.

The Brazilians will look to bounce back when they face Mpheni Home Defenders at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
