Mamelodi Sundowns advanced to the MTN8 semi-finals after clinching a 1-0 victory over Polokwane City at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

A 101st minute own-goal by Thabang Matuludi handed the home side a narrow victory in Pretoria.

As a result, Sundowns have now advanced to the semi-finals, while Rise and Shine’s journey in the competition comes to an end.
