Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi says it’s a “big regret” not walking away with all three points against Cape Town City.

The Glamour Boys were looking to continue their winning run but were halted by City after they played out to a goalless draw at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday.

Amakhosi have dropped down to eighth place on the Betway Premiership standings with 29 points, having won eight, drawn five, and suffered eight defeats in 21 matches.

City, meanwhile, remain in 10th position on the table with 23 points after winning six, drawing five and conceding 11 defeats in 22 matches.

“It’s a match today where we have so many regrets today to lose two points. It’s a game we should’ve won; we played against a team that played practically with ten players in front of their own box but we got opportunities, clear chances to score we should’ve finished them but we didn’t and it’s a big regret not to get those two points,” Nabi told SuperSport TV.

“No, it’s not about the pass it’s about putting the ball inside the net, okay. The game is finished, we need more responsibility.

“You’re player, you’re staff, more responsibility for Kaizer Chiefs. It’s like that we are in this position because we lose matches, points like that because we control the game, create chance and after you lose.

He added, “It’s not possible it’s Kaizer Chiefs, it’s not possible. Ok, we lose the points today but I have a game this week we need three points this week, it’s never easy. All the team will play like that maybe another with more quality will attack.

“We need every player here for Kaizer Chiefs, and remember here it’s a big responsibility for Kaizer Chiefs if we give your five minutes, ten minutes it’s a big responsibility inside the pitch. I’m really sorry for losing three points today.

“Every player that play for such a big team should be able to make a shot on target when he gets the opportunity to do so.”
