Kaizer Chiefs have announced they have parted ways with caretaker coach Cavin Johnson.
The 65-year-old took over the helm in October 2023 after the club decided to sack then coach Arthur Zwane.
Johnson was in charge for 22 matches, in which he claimed six wins, drew seven games and suffered nine defeats.
The Johannesburg-born mentor was released by the club after Amakhosi finished in 10th place in the DStv Premiership, the lowest place they’ve finished in their entire history in the competition.
“Kaizer Chiefs have agreed to an amicable parting of ways with head of Academy, Cavin Johnson,” Amakhosi said in a statement.
“Johnson joined Kaizer Chiefs in September 2023 to take up his role at the Club.
“The departure is part of the restructuring process that the Club is undertaking.
“We wish to thank Mr Johnson for his contribution to Kaizer Chiefs and wish him well in the future.”
