Thato Khiba has his sights set on winning silverware at the club following his transfer to Stellenbosch FC.

The 28-year-old joined the club on a permanent basis following his move from TS Galaxy.

Khiba comes in to replace Jayden Adams in midfield after he made the switch to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Soweto-born midfielder has experience playing in the Betway Premiership, having played for the Rockets and Marumo Gallants, scoring two goals and registering three assists in 79 appearances across all competitions.

Khiba has since opened up on his move to the Maroons and revealed his objectives following his transfer to the club.

“I’m very happy to be here and to be part of Stellenbosch Football Club,” Khiba told his club’s official website.

“It’s a beautiful club and town, and an all-round good environment. Stellenbosch is also a real football-playing team so it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to make to join the club.

“It’s a change of scenery for me, but, as a player, I have to grow, so I’m very happy to be here.

“Every player wants to win trophies and I’m hoping to achieve that with the team and to contribute towards that goal.”
