Zakhele Lepasa and Patrick Maswanganyi got their names on the scoresheet to inspire Orlando Pirates to a 2-0 victory over Cape Town City at the Orlando Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The victory takes the Buccaneers up to fourth place in the DStv Premiership standing with seven points after four games, while the defeat leaves City in 10th place with six points from five matches.

Pirates came into this fixture high in confidence after they claimed a 4-0 aggregate win over Djbal to advance to the next round of the Caf Champions League.

Meanwhile, City were looking to bounce back following their narrow 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune United in the last match in the league at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday.

Zakhele Lepasa continued his fine form after he opened the scoring for Pirates in the ninth minute to bag his second goal in the league this season.

The Buccaneers put the game beyond City in the 75th minute when Patrick Maswanganyi found the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

The Sea Robbers held on until the final whistle to walk away with another win and maximum points.
