Magesi FC secured a shock 2-1 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns to lift the Carling Knockout Cup at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein.

Iqraam Rayners opened the scoring for Sundowns in the 36th minute before Tshepo Kakora levelled matters in the 48th minute.

However, Magesi completed their comeback in the 87th minute when Delano Abrahams found the back of the net to steer his team to victory and secure their first top-flight title.
