Cassius Mailula bagged a brace as Mamelodi Sundowns secured a comfortable 3-1 victory over Cameroonian outfit Coton Sport in the Caf Champions League at the Stade Omnisport de Garoua on Friday evening.
A turnover allowed Mailula to score on 10 minutes, and less than 60 seconds later, he assisted Thapula Morena in extending the advantage.
At the half-hour mark, Patient Wassou scored with a low shot thanks to a brilliant diagonal pass that allowed him to cut the deficit in half.
Mailula scored again before halftime to give Sundowns a six-point lead in Group B ahead of next Saturday’s must-see clash with Ahly in Cairo.
