Kaizer Chiefs registered their first win in the DStv Premiership following their comfortable 3-0 victory over AmaZulu at the FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
Amakhosi broke the deadlock as early as the fourth minute when Pule Mmodi who pounced on Tebogo Potsane’s blocked shot to find the back of the net.
Chiefs doubled their lead in the 59th minute as Mmodi completed his brace after slotting the ball home from a Potsane’s backheel pass.
The Soweto giants put the game beyond Usuthu in the 787th minute through Edson Castillo, who scored.his first league goal for Amakhosi.
Amakhosi held on to their lead until the final whistle to claim their first win of the season and walks away with maximum points.
Molefi Ntseki’s side now moves up to 11th place on the log with four points from four games, while Amazulu are placed 13th with three points from four matches.
