Mamelodi Sundowns right back Thapelo Morena wants his side to “level up” and further extend their lead over Orlando Pirates in the Betway Premiership.
Sundowns currently sit at the top of the league table with 30 points after 11 games, while Pirates are three points behind them in second place.
The Brazilians will look to further extend their lead when they face Magesi FC at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.
Morena has urged his side to maintain their winning mentality heading into their next league fixture as they look to claim all three points from Magesi.
“I think the mentality is going to be the same. The hunger will be the same because it’s different in the PSL,” Morena told his club’s official website.
“We played against Magesi in the final and we did not have a good result, so we are going to take it a notch up.
“We want to fix our record in the league and we know that Orlando Pirates who are second on the log are just three points behind us. We need to try to level up and open the gap.
“If we continue winning, we know it’s going to be difficult for other teams to catch up. And also, when you win and the other team wins, it’s good because it pushes us because we are preparing for the Champions League also.”
Kick-off has been set for 19:30pm.
