Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Brazilian defender Ricardo Nascimento has committed his future to the club after signing a new contract with the Brazilians.
The 33-year-old joined the Brazilians from Academica in the Primera League in Portugal back in July 2016 and has managed to score 13 goals and assisted a further one from 101 appearances across all competitions.
However, he has since put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with the Tshwane giants, which keeps him at the club until 2023.
Speaking on his contract renewal, Nascimento said: ‘I feel very happy about the confidence Mamelodi Sundowns has shown in me and my football abilities.
‘I want to thank the President, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the Board and the Technical team with Coach Pitso. From the start, I was well-received by all the supporters and I to thank the supporters and my teammates for making me feel so welcome. My family and I are enjoying the country and I must certainly say that South Africa is my second home.
