The Premier Soccer League (PSL) announced the renaming of the National First Division (NFD) to the GladAfrica Championship, with the prize money rising to R3 million.
PSL chairman Dr Irvin Khoza announced that GladAfrica Group will now sponsor the NFD in a five-year partnership following a board of governors meeting in Kempton Park this morning.

The league will be known as the GladAfrica Championship for the next five years with the prize money increased from R300,000 to R3 million.
The new payment structure will have the champions earning R3 million, runners-up R1.5 million and the third-placed team R1 million.
The Sponsorship deal is for a period of five years.
