Mamelodi Sundowns will be without goalkeeper Denis Onyango for their clash with Highlands Park following the passing of his father.
The 34-year-old has been given time off from club duty and will immediately leave South Africa to be with his family in Uganda.
Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane will now either field Kennedy Mweene or Reyaad Pieterse against the Lions of the North in the absence of Onyango.
Onyango’s loss comes a few days after assistant coach Manqoba Mngqithi lost a family member and missed their 5-0 victory over AmaZulu last Sunday, the club confirmed.
The club released the following statement:
‘It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing on of the father of Denis Onyango. The Club has released Denis to mourn this great loss and he will immediately leave for Uganda with his family.
‘He has the full support of all his teammates, technical team, management, Board and the Club President. We all wish him and his family all the strength during these trying times.’
