Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of midfielder Riyaad Norodien and goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo to Cape Town City and Bidvest Wits respectively.
Norodien, 23, managed to score one goal from 30 appearances during his spell at Pirates while bagging three goals in 18 appearances during his loan stint at Platinum Stars.
The Buccaneers released the following statement on the matter: ‘Orlando Pirates Football Club has reached an agreement with Cape Town City over the services of midfielder Riyaad Norodien. Norodien, who spent half of the 2017-18 season on loan to Platinum Stars, will now join City on a permanent deal.’
Meanwhile, Pirates have also confirmed the departure of Mhlongo, who secured a permanent move to the Clever Boys.
‘Another player on his way out of the club is goalkeeper Brighton Mhlongo. The 27-year old, who was on loan to Chippa United last season, has secured a permanent move to Bidvest Wits.’
Mhlongo, who joined the Buccaneers from Azziz Kara in 2011, has racked up 84 appearances in all competitions while maintaining 18 clean sheets, keeping out five goals from 10 appearances during his loan spell at Chippa United.
