Orlando Pirates claimed the bragging rights in the Soweto derby after clinching a 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs in a thrilling Nedbank Cup semi-final at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

The Sea Robbers drew first blood in the Soweto derby after they opened the scoring through Kermit Erasmus but Amakhosi levelled matters in the 79th minute with a low drive from outside the box.

However, Pirates snatch a goal in extra time thanks to substitute Sandile Mthethwa, who headed home the winning goal at the FNB Stadium.

The Buccaneers have now booked their place in the final of the Nedbank Cup where they will face either Stellenbosch FC or Sekhukhune United at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday 27 May.
