Orlando Pirates have confirmed that the club have sent four players out on loan ahead of the upcoming 2022-23 DStv Premiership season.
The likes of Nkanyiso Zungu, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Boitumelo Radiopane and Bongani Sam will all be sent out on loan as they go in search of regular game time.
Attacking midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu looks set to spend a season-long loan at newcomers Richards Bay after an agreement was reached by the two clubs for his services after making 44 appearances for Pirates since he joined the club from Stellenbosch FC in January 2020.
Striker Tshegofatso Mabasa will be joining Sekhukhune United on loan for the campaign ahead, while youngster Boitumelo Radiopane secured a loan move to GladAfrica Championship outfit Cape Town Spurs.
Meanwhile, left back Bongani Sam will be plying his trade in KwaZulu- Natal after Pirates confirmed that he’ll be spending the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Maritzburg United.
The Buccaneers have since confirmed the four players’ departure in a statement:
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that it has reached an agreement with Richards Bay for the services of Nkanyiso Zungu on a season-long loan for the upcoming 2022/23 season.”
“Orlandopiratesfc.com can also confirm the departure of strikers Tshegofatso Mabasa and Boitumelo Radiopane who will be joining Sekhukhune United and Cape Town Spurs, respectively.
“Meanwhile, Bongani Sam will move to KwaZulu-Natal province where he will join Maritzburg United on loan for a season.”
