Mamelodi Sundowns will kick off their MTN8 title defence by facing Tshwane rivals SuperSport United in the quarter-finals at the Tuks Stadium on Sunday, 28 August.
The PSL announced that the quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of 27 and 28 August.
In the opening match of the top-eight tournament, Cape Town City will take on AmaZulu at Athlone Stadium on Saturday, 27 August, with kick-off set for 3pm.
On Saturday evening, Orlando Pirates will kickstart their campaign when they travel to the Chatsworth Stadium to take on Royal AM at 6pm.
Stellenbosch FC will kick off Sunday’s fixtures when they do battle with Kaizer Chiefs at Danie Craven Stadium at 3pm, followed by the Tshwane derby clash between defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United at Tuks Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
“The Premier Soccer League has confirmed the 2022-23 MTN8 quarter-final fixtures, dates, and kick-off times,” the PSL statement said.
“The MTN8 quarter-finals will be played on the weekend of 27 and 28 August 2022.
“Cape Town City and AmaZulu FC will kick off proceedings when they lock horns at Athlone Stadium on Saturday, 27 August 2022. Kick-off is at 15h00. On Saturday evening (18h00), Royal AM will take on Orlando Pirates at Chatsworth Stadium.
“On Sunday 28 August 2022, Stellenbosch FC will welcome Kaizer Chiefs to the Danie Craven Stadium in the early kick-off (15h00) followed by the Tshwane derby clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United at the Tuks Stadium. Kick-off is at 18h00.”
