Mamelodi Sundowns bounce back to beat Cape Town City, while Kaizer Chiefs were held to a thrilling draw against Magesi FC in midweek action of the Betway Premiership.

Royal AM 0-1 Polokwane City

Polokwane City secured their second straight win in the league following their 1-0 win over Royal AM thanks to a 76th minute goal from Bonginkosi Dlamini at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.

Despite the win, Rise and Shine dropped down to third place in the league standings with 13 points from six games, while Royal AM dropped to nine with seven points from seven games.

Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 Cape Town City FC

Mamelodi Sundowns returned to winning ways in the league after they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Cape Town City through a brace by Peter Shalulile and a goal from Lucas Ribeiro Costa at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

The win sees Sundowns move back up to second place on the log with 15 points from six games, while City remain in 13th place on the table. with five points from five matches.

Magesi FC 2-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs came from two goals down to secure a thrilling 2-2 draw against Magesi FC when a brace from Mduduzi Shabalala cancelled out goals from Wonderboy Makhubu and Edmore Chirambadare at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The draw sees Magesi drop to 11th place on the log with six points after six games, while Amakhosi dropped down to eighth place with seven points from five matches.

Golden Arrows 0-0 SuperSport United

Golden Arrows and SuperSport United were forced to share the spoils after playing out a goalless draw at the Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale.

Arrows are now placed in 10th position on the log with seven points from six games, while United are in seventh place with eight points from seven matches.
