Bloemfontein Celtic have announced that Lehlohonolo Seema has resigned as head coach of Phunya Sele Sele.

The 40-year-old coach has been at the helm of the club for the past two seasons alongside the likes of coach John Maduka and goalkeeper-coach Simon Gopane.

The Lesotho-born coach resigned just before the restart of the 2019-20 campaign, leaving Celtic in ninth place in the Absa Premiership standings with 28 points after 23 matches played so far this season.

Seema now joins a list of coach departures this past month, including Rhulani Mokwena, who parted ways with Chippa United and Jozef Vukusic, who is also on his way out of AmaZulu following his suspension.

Siwelele have released the following statement:

‘We would like to confirm the resignation of Lehlohonolo Seema as head coach of the club.

‘Coach Seema has been at the club since 2013; he added more value to the club and was a great asset.

‘We wish him all of the best on his career going forward and future endeavours.’
