Kaizer Chiefs have secured the signing of defender Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs.

The Urban Warriors have since announced that the highly-rated defender will be joining the Soweto giants ahead of the new season.

The 22-year-old established himself as a regular in the Urban Warriors squad and made 28 appearances for the club in all competitions during the 2023-24 season.

Dortley was linked to a number of clubs following his exploits for Bafana Bafana in the Cosafa Cup but he has since committed his future to Amakhosi.

“Cape Town Spurs F.C. would like to thank Rushwin and his family for the belief and trust they entrusted in us over the years,” Spurs announced.

“With their unwavering support and patience, we were able to assist in moulding Rushwin into the great player and person that he is today.

“They believed wholeheartedly in the culture and process of youth development and we delivered.

“We wish Rushwin many blessings for his future endeavours and we are confident that he will reach the highest accolades that football has to offer.”
