Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has named his starting lineup for their opening African Cup of Nations clash with Ivory Coast at the Al Salam Stadium on Monday.
Their opening fixture is scheduled to get under way at 4:30pm (SA time).
The South African national team were drawn in Group D alongside the likes of Ivory Coast, Namibia and Morocco.
South Africa’s last competitive match under head coach Baxter was their last group game of the Afcon qualifiers against Libya, which booked their place in Egypt after securing a 2-1 victory in March through a brace by Percy Tau.
Ronwen Williams starts in goal ahead of Darren Keet while the likes of Thamsanqa Mkhize, Thulani Hlatshwayo, Buhle Mkhwanazi and Sifiso Hlanti will make up the back four in front of Williams.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns duo Themba Zwane and Lebohang Maboe get the nod in midfield alongside Kamohelo Mokotjo and Dean Furman, respectively, while Percy Tau partners with Lebo Mothiba up front.
