Mamelodi Sundowns have bolstered their squad after confirming the signing of Lyle Lakay from Cape Town City.
Lakay’s move to Sundowns put an end to speculation regarding his future after undergoing a medical test and putting pen to paper on a three-year deal at Chloorkop.
The 26-year-old will now link up with his new teammates upon their return from their Caf Champions League clash against Togo-Port on Tuesday.
Lakay becomes the Brazilians’ fourth signing after they already secured the services of Andile Jali, Toni Silva and Jose Ali Meza during the current transfer window.
The former SuperSport United winger rejuvenated his career at Cape Town City during his two-year spell at the club in which he made 62 appearances in all competitions while scoring four goals and assisted a further eight in the process.
Lyle finally puts pen to paper! Let’s welcome him home Masandawana! 👆
