Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that attacking midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract with the Brazilians.

The 30-year-old has been part of the Masandawana setup for four seasons since joining the club from Bidvest Wits during the 2016-17 season.

The Bafana Bafana international has since pledged his loyalty to the club after putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract, which will see him remain at the club until 2024.

Speaking on his renewal, Vilakazi said: ‘I am honoured, I am humbled and I am excited to be given another opportunity to play for this great team. I would like to thank the President (Dr. Patrice Motsepe), the board for trusting and having faith in me and also my coach (Pitso Mosimane), the technical team, my teammates for playing a part as well in me given this opportunity,’ Vilakazi told his club’s official website.

‘The story continues, I am here to win trophies and more trophies are coming. Ka Bo Yellow.’

The Soweto-born attacker has already won four trophies since he arrived at Chloorkop, two Absa Premiership titles, a Telkom Cup trophy and the Caf Super Cup.
