Watch as Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter announces his squad and speaks to the media ahead of the crucial Afcon qualifier clash against Nigeria.
Bafana are set to face Nigeria at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 17 November in what is a vital game if Baxter’s team are going to realise their mission of qualifying for next year’s continental showpiece in Cameroon.
The South African national team currently sit second in Group E on eight points, behind their next opponents, who top the group with nine points after four games played.
Bafana got their qualification campaign off to the best possible start with a historic 2-0 win against Nigeria in Uyo, and followed that up with a 0-0 draw against Libya and a 6-0 win over Seychelles, putting qualification firmly in their control.
Bafana, however, failed to beat Seychelles, playing out to a 0-0 draw, which has left the door open for Libya.
Nigeria, on the other hand, bounced back from their defeat against Baxter’s men with three wins in a row to put them in control of Group E.
