Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter has revealed that he will decide his future after the Africa Cup of Nations despite his side pulling off a shock 1-0 win to knock out hosts Egypt on Saturday.
The former Kaizer Chiefs coach came under fire from media and fans alike as Bafana managed to just scrape through the group stages despite winning only one match and scoring just the one goal.
A different side, however, took the field against the Pharos on Saturday as Baxter’s team produced a memorable performance to shock the continent and knock out the nine-time Afcon champions on home soil.
Speaking after the game Baxter inisited that it was one of the best performances at Afcon by any side, but the result changes nothing as he will decide his future after the tournament.
Done and dusted.

‘It’s probably one of the best performances at Afcon,’ Baxter told reporters.
‘Not only the result, but it also one of the best performances that you are going to see. For me, the players gave a tactical masterclass.
‘For me, it’s another day at the office, it doesn’t change anything for me, once the tournament is finished I’ll decide what I’m going to do.’
Bafana next face West African giants Nigeria in a quarter-final clash on Wednesday evening.
