Confederation of African Football (Caf) president Patrice Motsepe has invited Al Ahly president Mahmoud El Khatib to attend the Africa Cup of Nations final in February.

The Afcon final is scheduled to take place at the Olemebe Stadium in Yaounde, capital of Cameroon, on 6 February.

Former Mamelodi Sundowns chariman Patrice Motsepe has sent El Khatib a invitation letter, which reads:

My dear brother Mahmoud,

I wish you and your loved ones a happy, healthy, and fulfilling New Year. On behalf of CAF and the 54 African countries that are members of CAF, I extend an invitation to you to attend the final of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2021 which will take place:

Time: 20h00 CET

Venue: Olembe Stadium, Yaounde, Cameron
