Amajita coach Thabo Senong has called up 31 players to the squad as they begin preparations for the upcoming Caf U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament is set to take place in Lusaka and Ndola, Zambia from February 26 to March 12, 2017, with the players now reporting for a two-week training camp on Thursday.

Amajita will be hoping to get revenge on Zambia when the two side’s meet on February 8, following their 2-1 defeat against the baby Chipolopolo in the 2016 U20 Cosafa Cup final.

The match will be played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, with the match scheduled to kick-off at 20:00.

Group A will see hosts Zambia go up against Egypt, Mali and Guinea, while South Africa has been drawn in Group B alongside Senegal, Sudan and Cameroon.

Meanwhile, the semi-finalists of the 20th edition of the Caf U20 Afcon will qualify for the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup to be played in South Korea from May 20 – June 11, 2017.
