Mamelodi Sundowns beat AmaZulu to move 18 points clear of Orlando Pirates after they drew with Stellenbosch FC in mid-week action of the Betway Premiership.

TS Galaxy returned to winning way after claiming a 3-1 win over SuperSport United after goals from Dzenan Zajmovic, Keagan Dolly and Thokozani Sibanyoni cancelled out a goal from Nyiko Mobbie at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.

The win sees the Rockets move up to fourth place on the table with 32 points after 22 games, while SuperSport remain in 13th place on the log with 21 points from 21 matches.

Stellenbosch FC 0-0 Orlando Pirates

Stellenbosch FC were forced to share the spoils with Orlando Pirates after playing out to a goalless draw at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town.

The draw sees Stellies move up to third place on the league standings with 32 points after 20 matches, while the Buccaneers remain in second place on the table with 40 points from 18 matches.

Mameldoi Sundowns completed the double over AmaZulu after they secured a 2-0 victory courtesy of goals from Peter Shalulile and Arthur Sales at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.

The Brazilians opened an 18 point lead over Pirates and sit at the top of the log with 58 points from 22 games, while Usuthu dropped to seventh place on the table with 30 points from 22 matches.

Magesi FC bounced back and returned to winning ways after they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Richards Bay through an early goal from Delano Abrahams at the Seshego Stadium in Pietersburg.

Dikwena tša Meetse have now moved out of the relegation zone and into 14th place with 20 points from 22 games, while the Natal Richard Boys remain in 12th position on the table with 21 points from 21 matches.
