Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso felt his side could have finished the game off sooner in their win against Stellenbosch FC.

The Tshwane giants stretched their winning run in the Betway Premiership following their 1-0 win over Stellies at the DHL Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The win takes Sundowns three points clear of Orlando Pirates at the top of the league standings with 24 points after nine matches.

The Brazilians will look to continue their current form when they take on AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium next Tuesday.
“It’s clear there’s a big commitment in the team, play in short distances, try to always be together, travel together in attack, travel together in defence, close the spaces, control different moments,” Cardoso told SuperSport TV after the game.
“Let’s always hold our emotions as best as possible so that we can always be looking at the right momemt to finish the game.
“Today I believe we could have finished it much sooner rather than the final whistle of the referee.”
