Amato has also represented the South African national team at the Under-17 level and has made four appearances for SA at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations 2023.
The attacking midfielder could potentially be in line to make his debut when City take on Royal AM at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.
“I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead with this club. Staying here was a no-brainer—I believe in what the club is building, and I’m happy to be a part of it for longer,” Amato told Cape Town City.
