New Stellenbosch FC signing Ashley Cupido says he will do his best to help the team succeed during the 2024-25 season.
Cupido joined Stellies from Cape Town Spurs, where he scored 31 goals in 112 appearances in all competitions over the last four season.
The 23-year-old arrives at the club on a permanent transfer after putting pen to a long term contract.
Cupido is relishing the chance to help the club achieve their goals on objectives during the 2024-25 season.
“I’m very excited about playing for this club,” Cupido said. “Over the last few years, Stellenbosch has grown and is a team that is ambitious for success and I want to be a part of that.
“I must thank the CEO and the club as a whole for giving me the opportunity to play for Stellenbosch, and to everyone else who was involved in making this deal happen.
“I’m grateful to join the club and for the support I’ve already received. I’ve seen the comments from the fans and everyone seems happy that I am here, so I’m thankful for that support and for the support yet to come.
“The supporters can expect me to always do my best for the team, to work hard, and work towards the goals of the team. I’m here to score goals, and most importantly win trophies, and I will help the team in every way I possibly can.
“At the end of the day, helping the team is the most important thing because if we can achieve our goals as a team, then I will grow as an individual as well.”
