Stellenbosch FC’s new signing Lesiba Nku is hoping his experience can help the club challenge for silverware on all fronts this season.

The 28-year-old arrives at the Cape Winelands side on a permanent basis after his departure from Mamelodi Sundowns.

Nku will now be wearing the No. 7 jersey for the club that was previously worn by former captain Deano van Rooyen.

The Limpopo-born winger could be in line to make his debut when Stellies face Sekhukhune United in the Betway Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Nku is relishing the chance to make his debut for the club and help them succeed in the Betway Premiership, Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederation Cup.

“I’m happy to be at Stellenbosch FC and I’m looking forward to playing football and doing my best for the club,” Nku told his club’s official website.

“Everyone has been very welcoming so I’m excited to finally get started.

“Stellenbosch is a good club and the way the team plays, using a lot of speed and fast players, suits my style of play.

“We’re still competing in the Nedbank Cup, and pushing in the league and the CAF Confederation Cup, so I’m hoping I can use my experience to challenge in these competitions.

“The fans can expect to see the same Lesiba Nku as they know, and even a bit more now because I’m hungrier to play.

“I can’t wait to meet them all and to play at the Danie Craven Stadium, and I can promise that I will give my all for the jersey.”
