Polokwane City snapped a three-game winless run in the Betway Premiership to secure a 2-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Rise and Shine opened the scoring in the 17th minute through Oswin Appollis before putting the game beyond Amakhosi with a 90-minute goal by Mokibelo Ramabu.

Despite the win, Polowane City dropped to third place in the league standings with 17 points after 10 games, while Amakhosi remain in ninth place with 11 points from eight matches.
