Stellenbosch FC are set to renew their rivalry with Mamelodi Sundowns when the two sides meet at the DHL Stadium on Wednesday evening.

The Cape Winelands side come into this match after claiming their first win in the CAF Confederation Cup Group B encounter following their 1-0 win over Desportivo Lunda-Sul at the Estádio 11 de Novembro on Sunday.

Stellies currently sit in fourth place in the Betway Premiership standings with 15 points after eight matches.

Steve Barker’s chargers have so far won four, drawn three, and only conceded one defeat in the league so for this season.

Mamelodi Sundowns

The Brazilians will come into this fixture high in confidence after clinching their first victory in the CAF Champions League after their 1-0 win over Raja Casablanca at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday.

Sundowns are now placed in first position on the league table with 21 points from eight matches.

The Tshwane giants have thus far won seven games and only conceded one defeat so far this season.
